Harvesting Celery
Celery is harvested for its crisp stalks. Proper timing ensures tender texture and good flavor before stems become tough or stringy.

Care instructions
Harvest at full size.
Celery is usually ready about 80–120 days after planting, depending on the variety. Stalks should be thick, firm, and about 8–12 inches (20–30 cm) tall.Harvest outer stalks first.
For extended harvest, cut outer stalks at the base and allow inner stalks to continue growing.Or harvest the whole plant.
To harvest the entire head, cut the plant at soil level once it reaches full size.Don’t wait too long.
Overmature celery can become tough and stringy. Harvest promptly once stalks are thick and crisp.Harvest during cooler hours.
Pick in the morning for the best texture and freshness.Keep plants well watered before harvest.
Consistent moisture helps prevent bitterness and tough stalks.Store properly after harvesting.
Store celery in the refrigerator, wrapped to retain moisture. Use within 1–2 weeks for best quality.
