Help! I know my cucumbers need bees but I don’t like them and I’m highly allergic. How can I get rid of them?
I’m back. My pots outside are not holding water - water is going straight through. I usually water about .5L per day per 9in pot. They are on a balcony in direct sun with lots of heat all day so I figured they definitely need water everyday. Recently water has been going straight through. I tried soaking them in the sink for 10 mins in a couple inches of water but it didn’t seem to work. Am I watering too much? Is there something wrong with the soil? Should I soak them more? 🆘😭
Is this an overripe eggplant? Thinking it is.
Does anyone have recommendations for the best herbs or vegetables to plant on a windy balcony? It gets direct sun and it’s very hot where I am. So far basil, cilantro, and oregano have all failed. Peppers are doing okay.
Loving these purple potatoes. Growing in mats already. Harvest is going to be quite a haul this year.
Our First Potatoes Harvest! (Some cucumbers too!)
This is my hydroponic Basil! It’s growing like crazy and seems to love the water! Also looks pretty good in the tall glass. 🌱
Hi all! It’s my first time growing food, and my cilantro is looking a little sad. It has small white dots on some leaves, some yellow leaves, and it’s a little droopy. There were fruit flies in the area but I set a trap for them, but do you think they caused a problem for my plant?
Some times when my plants sprout they die but some don’t any one know how to fix this?
My basil plants always die when they bloom. Any tip on how to avoid this?
I have a tomato plant that I pruned up really well and it’s growing beautifully again and produced new flowers. However it’s really hot right now in Florida and I was told they won’t produce because it’s consistently too hot so I was wondering, what if I bring it inside where it’s 72 degrees from say, noon to five? Would that help the blooms actually become fruit? The flowers and the plant overall look very healthy.
This kumquat tree is too small to bear fruit but I love seeing the blossoms and they smell so good!
so happy with my jalapeño plant! He’s nearly 3 foot tall with lots of beautiful fruit on him!
This is my first year planting a garden. I planted tomatoes in a raised bed alongside some basil. When I picked my tomatoes they were fine and healthy. I put them on my counter in a bag to ripen a little more but when I went back to look at them they have several tiny holes in it. I'm guessing this is some kind of bug inside the tomato? I've been using a vegetable and garden insect spray. Is there anything I should be doing so my other tomatoes aren't at risk?
Dreaming about having a huge edible garden in Houston. I’ve started with tomatoes and herbs in planters for now. Any advice on what foods grow best in Houston by season and the best way to organize it in above ground planters? Our yard faces west and one side of our yard is unobstructed sunshine all day (East to west). Any help would be appreciated!
Love new growth! There are so many new leaves due to me a taking them off!
Pea plants are growing!! so happy ◡̈ 🫛
Cucamelons in the mini greenhouse, now time to wait.
First time ever planting a seed! Need some help, I put two of each chilli seed in the pots thinking they wouldn’t grow and now I was just wondering how to separate them? Or if I should let them grow together? (Left: jalapeño, Middle: cayenne, right: habanero) thanks in advance!
