Now this may look bad. Soil on leaves. Burying the green growth under ground. Should make mold right? Not with potatoes or other tubers. Make sure you keep adding new soil at the base of the potato shoots. Bury some branches as well. These buried branches will sometimes turn into new potatoes. This is how I get 100+ lbs of potatoes from a tiny space. I’ll add soil until September and it will be 3-4 feet deep of solid potatoes.
I’ve never grown tomato’s before. These are Roma tomatoes and I thought it’d be better to start with a determinate tomato. I’m not sure if I planted these too close. Will I need to put anything around them for support?
Had a rough start but my plants have grown so much this past month! Finally got a tiny jalapeño growing and about to harvest my cilantro and basil! Does anyone have tips for harvesting cilantro and sweet basil? I want to make sure I don’t kill the plant and keep getting more from them.
I love you rain. Cannot wait to harvest these monsters. Filled 2 gallon size containers last year with seeds. May need a few more this year. All but the red sunflowers are from last years harvest. Must’ve selected well!
Doing the final check on my garden! My zucchini and my tomato plant are still recovering from the incident this morning, but recovering surprisingly quickly! ❤️🩹🌿
I have some seedlings that were planted in ground about 2-3 weeks ago. Temps dropped last night but didn’t reach frost temps so I wasn’t too worried. However when I came out this morning my happy and thriving plants were brown, wilty and some even looked burned and crispy. I’m so heartbroken! Any suggestion or what you think caused it? Basil and squash below for reference.
Hi all. This is my first time growing beets. As you can see, I started them in cells. Some are leggy. I was wondering when would be a good time to transfer them?
Omg I think I jinxed it!! My dogs ate my Zucchini plant, and they ripped out one of the tomato plants!
Hey y’all! I have a beautiful german chamomile and i’m not sure why it’s leaves are shrinking/shriveling. If someone could help me with this, i’d love it! Thanks!

Hey there! I’m a first year pumpkin grower & I want to self pollinate my pumpkin. I don’t necessarily know the small differences between the male and female flowers but from google searching and videos I think my pumpkin is only producing male flowers. Has anyone else had this issue?
Hi I am growing some herbs for the first time, mint, basil and parsley. Does anyone have recommendations for fertilizer?
Well we finally did it. Been planting just pit gardens for awhile but always wanted grapes in abundance. 8 foot pine polls. 12”x12”x12” holes and Fredonia grapes. It’s been about two weeks and good growth already. Time to hang the wires!
Also what are you suggestions for peeking these little guys up? We just watered them yesterday, and installed drainage in the bottom :)
Thoughts on caring for mustard seeds we wanna give them the best chance as they’re for our reptile kiddos.
