Hi everyone, my lemon plant has started to bloom again after suffering from root rot this passed winter. She was doing great and now she’s beginning to drop flowers again (10 in one night.) Does anyone know the cause of this // any way to help? I make sure to let her fully dry out before watering here again so she doesn’t rot and I make sure to carefully dig holes for better watering and ventilation. I have one lemon that survived from winter (shown below) and it’s the highlight of my life. PLEASE HELP ps I believe the spots are pollen they come off with a light wipe and our other plants have it too!

Hey does anyone know why 2 of my strawberry plants are growing at a faster rate than the others? I have 8 potted plants, 4 in the kitchen and 4 in the living room just to see if any differences. First pic - living room (all growing the same rate) Second pic - kitchen (the 2 in the white pots are growing wayyy faster) Last pic - close up of the difference I initially thought it might be that the kitchen has more natural light but surely the ones in the black pots would grow faster too? I then thought it might be the colour of the pot? But then the white pots in the living room are the same as the black ones so I’m lost😂 It’s not an issue at all, just wondering if anyone could explain? Its weird ahah

Let’s talk about compost waste. Personally, I manage restaurants so I bring home veggie scraps from our prep every day. My garden beds and my trees around the yard have benefited from me composting material year-round. I love it, it’s like a science experiment. I turn food scraps into dirt back into food.

I don’t know what’s happening to my plants they are all turning to this. Just a week ago they were all thriving now they are all dying. I water when I’m supposed to I give them sun light they are in good soil idk what to do

I’m adding new beds to my garden that I planned on putting towards the back of my yard - along the back fence facing South. The city has tall pine trees planted on the other side of that fence. The trees don’t block the sunlight, but I’m concerned that the pine needles will blow into my beds in the fall. While I plan to keep a close watch and always clean pine needles out of my yard weekly during the fall months, should this hinder me from planting the new beds in that location?

How often should I water my chocolate mint? I don't know much about plants. Google tells me not too often, every 2 weeks, but planta is telling me to do it every two days!? I don't know..

I am new with fruit, I usually only grow herbs. This is my navel orange and Meyer lemon tree, they are close together in the yard and get similar sun and water. Any idea why the orange leaves are curling?

hey there! just getting into gardening and bought habenero peppers, artichokes, parsley, basil, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and green onion. any advice/tips as well as what to do to prevent pests from eating them? I’ve heard of putting cayenne powder and/or used coffee grounds. I have them out in the backyard where it gets the most sun (I live in southern orange county) any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

After sprouting my tomato seedlings have been the same height (1-2”) for the last month ish. And the tip of leavies started curling backwards, one of them even looks yellow. Any tips ?

It’s been FOREVER since i posted on here, but I’ve harvest my potatoes and some okra and i thought I would share!

Built a raised garden bed and planted some banana peppers, Anaheim peppers, and Tabasco peppers. All looking good except my banana pepper is a bit droopy. I think it may be due to it being cloudy here the past few days, so I’m hoping with today being sunnier it will help. If anyone has some advice it’d be greatly appreciated!

I’m new to gardening here, I really wanted an outdoor activity to enjoy to find my “zen”🧘🏼♀️🌱🤍 I have recently planted some herbs in the ground, but I am thinking about relocating them to pots in a different area so I can get them more light. Any advice as to how best do this or if it’s even smart to do? I don’t want to hurt my little plants, but I don’t think they’re getting enough sun!
