So these are my 2 month old tomato plants but they keep getting eaten by bugs, how can I prevent this? Also while I’m here how do I stop my plants from going in to shock and dying the moment in repot them if try to move them to a brighter spot?
I used basil and merigolds as companion plants last year for my first year of tomatoes. Worked pretty good for me. This year I’m adding lavender to the garden. My mum also recommended dusting them with diatomaceous earth to help prevent bugs getting st them. Also for the light adjustments, you want to harden them off to their new spot. Meaning you have to gradually expose them to the new area of light so they don’t go all stressy. Try with an overcast day in their new spot, or over a week move them for an hour or two then put them back in the old spot and slowly increase their amount of time in the new spot. I have my outdoor plants in containers so it’s much easier to do.

Strong smelling companion plants repel pests. I’ve used garlic, society garlic, cilantro, and onions.
