Gone but not forgotten. Grew this from a tiny pot, completely indoors. Had more basil than I knew what to do with.

    Wow. This is so impressive! What happened to it? And what sort of lights did you use, if any?

      It was hard maintaining it because I live in an apartment with south facing windows (I do not use grow lights). The bigger it got, the more difficult it was to monitor the soil (too much sun vs adjusting watering schedule). Stems began to harden like wood, basically it was transforming from a plant to a bush and unfortunately, had no place to put it so it could mature.

      Oh man. Even with trimming it down?! It still transformed into a giant bush??

      Yes, it wanted to mature into a full bush as it would grow in the wild.

      I guess I’m lucky my basil plant is so small and puny right now. 👀 Although now it’s being plagued by bugs, so I have to figure out what to buy for THAT. Sigh.
