Hi everyone! I’m new to gardening here, I really wanted an outdoor activity to enjoy to find my “zen”🧘🏼♀️🌱🤍 I have recently planted some herbs in the ground, but I am thinking about relocating them to pots in a different area so I can get them more light. Any advice as to how best do this or if it’s even smart to do? I don’t want to hurt my little plants, but I don’t think they’re getting enough sun!
I know a lot of people who grow their herbs in little pots in their kitchen windowsill!! I’m sure they’d be okay transplanting them to pots, don’t be surprised if they’re in shock for a day or two!

i grow my herbs indoors under grow lights! you can absolutely transfer plants from the ground to a pot, just make sure to dig up a little more than you think, don’t want to chop through any roots. when it comes to potting, regardless of plant species, i like to fill the bottom inch or so of the pot with well draining succulent soil, this keeps the denser soil from compacting and getting water logged.
