Hi all, newbie here! Wanting advice on trimming- i’ve never rly been able to keep plants alive so i’m super nervous here. the app is recommending i cut back “suckers” from my tomato plant. just wondering if there’s any in particular i should be looking for, and what is a good visual to help decide what stays and what goes? TIA!!!
I’m relatively new to gardening, but the suckers are the little shoots that grow between the branches and the stem (in the middle of the V, if that makes sense). They tend to take up more of the plants resources and can divert energy away from the plant growing fruit.

Yup! If it’s growing from an “armpit” it’s a sucker. Just clip em off at the stem. Good luck 👍

It’s scary at first to trim your plant but you get used to it as you start to see it makes your plant healthier. Just clean your sheets with rubbing alcohol or soap/water first and go slow. You got this!!!!
