Hello everyone, first time gardener here. I had a few rotten Guilin potatoes and decided to plant them. Today I noticed these small buds that have emerged. Can someone please tell me what this means? I e tried looking it up on AI to no avail. Thanks in advance 9/25 update My harvest was a huge success. I expected nothing from just sticking a few potatoes in the ground ! I’m very proud of myself for a newbie

    They are about to flower... Its a good thing, meaning the plant will start making pototoes soon under the soil.

    Yes flowering! That's a great sign and your potato plants look really healthy! After flowering the leaves in stem will eventually yellow and brown and die back. Once everything is brown and dead looking give it about 2 weeks and then you can dig out your potatoes 😁💚
