    Hey just wondering, I see on your profile that you grow tropical fruits in zone 6b (like that beautiful avocado I suppose) and I was wondering how you do it. Im assuming you have a greenhouse or something, which I also just recently got. If so, how do you heat it in the winter? I’m in about zone 8a, so somewhat warmer but still too cold to go without one and I’m interested in how to heat my greenhouse this winter. Thank you! 😊

      I don’t have a greenhouse, I have a basement grow room. Plants go outside when weather warms up and come inside when it gets cold and they’re all under grow lights. It’s much easier to maintain temperature in the basement compared to a greenhouse in the middle of winter.

    Hi Ryan I am randomly reading posts and wondered if you might have an lemon tree in your mix. I planted a lemon see about 4 years ago and it’s growing. About 2 1/2 feet now. I will likely always keep it indoors. My question is about pruning. If you have knowledge on this can you give me some tips.

      I don’t have a lemon tree but I would assume it’s similar to other citrus. I would just prune off dead stuff and prune after you harvest the fruit, maybe late winter before springtime where the plant will start pushing out new growth.
