Should I harvest these potatoes? Hi, people! I planted these potatoes around Feb 15 and they’re looking pretty interesting. Some sources I’ve come across say to harvest 7-8 weeks after planting and others say wait until the foliage is completely brown and dry. Anything helps. Thank you!
It's best to wait a week or two after the foliage turns yellow or brown! Please share once you harvest 😃 I would love to see the result!

Hi, Potatoes usually take 3 months to grow. It’s only been 2 so I would be worried about the health. Have the vines ever grown longer? Do you fertilize?
2件のいいね Hello, thanks for your response! I too was worried whether it was a plant health thing or not. Attached are photos of what I’d consider the potatoes at their peak (from March 16 & 25). I’ve never added fertilizer except some organic material I mixed in before planting. Also, I don’t know if it’s helpful to mention that these were baby potatoes. Thanks again
Oooooh that changes things. I think baby potatoes only kind of clump - they don’t vine like true potatoes. Your plant looks healthy in those pics! I’d be interested to see your harvest! With normal potatoes, I learned that you have to feed heavy phosphorus but too much will put it into nutrient lock 💀 added a bunch of nitrogen and it snapped right out of it. If these are baby, your timing would be about 2 weeks after the bloom, you can check for taters.
