      They were watered yesterday + it rained after that. Do you think I should water again today?

      I would just make sure they are getting watered every night. My cucumber plants take in so much water

      What did they look like before you watered them? They look like they went too long without water. Adding fertilizers won’t solve this problem. You should cut back the dead leaves and keep consistent on the watering. Always use a balanced fertilizer especially in the beginning and only use specific NPK amounts if the soil is deficient. I add organic compost every fall and never use added fertilizer it can throw everything out of balance. Just my two cents.

      Wanted to add: with my outdoor beds and gardens I dig about 4-6in into the soil and grab a handful, if it clumps together it doesn’t need water if it’s dry or hard water.

    Yellowing leaves with cucumbers can be a sign of low nitrogen in the soil!

      Thanks! I was thinking something maybe off with the soil. I’ve been using a potassium fertilizer, but nothing else. I’ll try adding nitrogen!

    I use a “vegetable and tomato food” fertilizer by the company organics and it’s done wonders for my cantaloupe and as a last effort saved a flower I got my lady for Mother’s Day as well- it’s decent stuff hope this helps

    I am a very organic gardener. Compost my own soil all year so I can’t speak about fertilizer but that plant needs more water. Tant this in the future get some wood mulch and place it at the base about 3 inches deep. The wood will soak up a lot of water, therefore keeping the soil underneath it moist.

      I did read that somewhere else as well! Would that also work with dried/brown grass cuttings?

    No. Dried grass is going to get extremely hot and heat up the ground under it more. Dry leaves though would work but wood mulch is still gonna be best. $4 a bag, do yourself the favor AND it helps control weeds.
