My cherry tomato seed finally sprouted ! Anything I need to do other than water to keep it alive?

    Yay! I agree with snowstorm that it is very far down in the pot. Do you have something smaller you can move it to? Like a yogurt cup or something? Itā€™s going to be reaching for the light and get very leggy. If you have a south facing window sill, thatā€™s where I would set it, or under a grow light. Good luck! And grow well little tomato baby!

    Alternate opinionšŸ˜…ā€¦As long as you can get the light to it, low is great! As it gets bigger, you essentially keep removing lover leaves and filling the dirt up halfway. It will have a strong root system like that. I do usually start my tomatoes in smaller pots, but thatā€™s because I start them outside and move them around when it rains. Then I keep up potting them deeper and deeper until Iā€™m in the final big pot. But starting low in this pot will do the same thing.ā¤ļø

    Thank you everyone! Itā€™s at an east facing window now so Iā€™ll try get a light and filling up soil as it grow!

      Yeah got the growing light last week and even got a second sprout now! Canā€™t wait for it to grow
