A portion of my tomato plant’s stem is turning light brown. The top and base are still green. Any ideas on what this could be caused by?

    It could be corking which happens on some plants. Could it be bruised from the plant strap?

    I thought it could have been bruised from the staking but it was on the opposite side, the part not up against the stake so I wasn’t sure!
