Hi, all 🪴✨ I just got my basil (gevonese), rosemary (Tuscan blue), parsley (Italian flat leaf), and chives (garlic) delivered. I have not had the best luck with herbs in the past, but I’ve gotten better over the years. These are also from a garden center, not a grocery store. Checked the roots and they seem like they can stay in their current pots. Doesn’t seem to be overcrowded, then again, I’m not sure what I’m doing 😅 Any helpful advice is appreciated. They are in my west window with the most sun, just a gloomy day today.

    You could wait until you see roots out the drainage holes, or you could repot anyway into a slightly bigger pot anyway if you want!

    (1) I typically repot new plants as soon as I get them because I don’t even like risking the roots becoming crowded in their starter pots. I agree with Ada. You could wait until you see roots or you can just go ahead and give them a little upgrade. (2) I’m pretty sure all those plants thrive best in full sun so try to make sure they’re getting 6+ hours of sunlight. The thing is though that they all have different watering needs so make sure you’re not overwatering. For example, Basil LOVES water so moist soil is key but Rosemary does best with minimal water because it likes dry soil.
