Hi there! I’m new to Plata/having plants in general. I’d love to get in to edible gardening as my 600 sq. ft. apartment with medium to low sun will allow… any suggestions for where to start?

    Welcome! Edible gardens need full sunlight for at least 8 hours a day even if growing in pots. So, add grow lights or place in a south facing window. Start easy and simple with a grow kit if you want to start from seeds. I recommend going to a local nursery or big box store to get starter plants since it’s getting late to start growing some edibles. I prefer the small private nurseries that have a vested interest in getting you to succeed in growing and buying plants from them. They offer lots of advice. Pick out the edibles you want. Ask about the best soil, watering/lighting/fertilizer requirements and when to repot for container gardening. They also know about the local common pests and treatment. Good luck!🍀 🪴🫑
