My lemon tree had multiple buds but some of them turned yellow quickly and fell off. Pictures below. Does anyone know why this is happening? Note, I take the plant outside for hours for direct sunlight and bring it in at night or extreme heat. I also use Neem oil for pests who I believe were the original culprits. The pests are gone now. I fertilize with Osmosis.
How old is it? It usually take 2-3 years before a lemon will hang on until it’s ripe.
0 J'aimeI believe it is a two years now. Last year I won it and it had one lemon that had held on. This year there were about 12 that started out but many of them fell off like the yellow one. Now there are about half left.

Just a caution for use, neem oil can negatively affect your favourite pollinators, bees, so only use as needed! Or, simply avoid spraying your flowering plants while flowers are present on the plant to avoid harming your local bee population. 😄 Happy Planting!
