Does anyone know what I should do with my mint? It was growing healthy but lately there has been lots of holes and missing pieces as well as some yellowing of the leaves. I’ve also noticed holes in other plants in different containers like my red maple and jalapeño plant. New to gardening so not sure how I should get rid of pests of thats the problem.
First step is to identify the pest, is it a leaf pest that is hiding on the underside or a jumping bug attacking during the day, or are they below the soil attacking the roots. If it’s above I’d recommend some neem oil diluted and sprayed on the leaves, if it’s below I would remove any affected roots and all bugs I can visually see, repot with a different soil. If you cannot use a different soil, take your soil and spread it thin on a tarp for a day and water it to get all the bugs out, the birds will do the rest and than you can reuse that soil with much less pest pressure.
