I’m growing eggplants for the first time and I just sprouted my first 2, and now that they’re bigger I’ve noticed they’ve got some white hairs on them. Is this normal? I can’t seems to find anything on google and dr. Planta is just suggesting a repot.
Can’t say I’ve ever seen that either. My only hypothesis is the seeds are growing from the inside. Has it gotten a lot of water recently? I’ve seen tomatoes do that from overwatering.
0 likes It did rain a tonne last week. I let them dry out and only watered today after they started to get droopy and wilty. Should I pick them maybe? And would they still be edible?

0 likes It also depends on what variety of eggplant some are full grown at that shape&size
0 likes These are black beauty eggplants and the bigger one is about the size of a tangerine and the smaller about a golf ball.
