The other day I picked my first black eye pea pods from my cowpea plant but I noticed that some of my leaves look like this. I don’t over water it, it’s in my back yard so it gets plenty of sun, and I fertilized it maybe a week ago with the proper amount of organic fertilizer (it’s like a chicken manure based fertilizer) what could be wrong with it?
It could be nitrogen toxicity. When a plant is producing “fruit” and flowering it doesn’t need as much nitrogen it needs more phosphorus and potassium. If given too much nitrogen it can affect how well the plant uses the other nutrients. With is being in a container the fertilizer will be more abundant within the soil.

좋아요 1개 I love this stuff it’s a little pricey but there is no risk of burning your plants, it has other nutrients like calcium and magnesium. There’s more and more phytoplankton fertilizers out there I’ve had nothing but success with them
