What could be the cause of this thin cilantro growth? The plant is growing taller, but the leaves are not full. Is this a part of the growth cycle or a health issue?

    It’s part of the natural cycle. It’s about to go to seed. You can pinch back to delay but, frankly at this point I find it a loosing battle.

    It’s bolting, going to seed. The leaves get thin and the plant puts out flowers. Cilantro grows fast. It goes from seedlings to seeds in over a month. You have to regularly cut the leaves and stems to delay bolting a week or two. It doesn’t like summer temperatures. Temperatures above 75°F triggers the plants to bolt and put out seeds for next season. It grows better cooler temperatures in spring and fall. You can collect the seeds after it flowers and use it to cook (coriander seeds) or plant it when the temperatures drop in autumn. The leaves lose its flavor when it bolts.
