Can anyone tell me if this is a green tomato or a regular heirloom my brother bought them but has no idea what kind of tomato he got…has been this size and color for weeks now want to harvest it before it becomes overripe Thank you app just says heirloom
lol sorry to laugh but green tomatoes are just unripe tomatoes however they are extremely delicious sliced,breaded and fried 😋 These look like a Black Krim, maybe purple Cherokee. There is such a huge variety of tomatoes these days that it would be impossible to correctly identify until it’s ripe.

Looks like Black Krim the tops darken and the bottom will eventually turn reddish.
Hold the tomato and lightly (almost no effort at all) twist it. Ripe ones come right off the stem with barely a suggestion of a twist, while unripe ones hold on
