First time growing borage. There is no smell to the flowers, but the young leaves are edible and taste like cucumbers. I added it to a Brussels Sprouts/Broccoli leaves dish. Highly recommend to try it. Caution should be noted that like with anything, everything in moderation. Too much consumption of the young leaves would have a similar toxic effect as eating too much raw spinach. I’ve never had a negative reaction, but it is what I read.

    I’ve never grown it. But, knew people who ate it. It has toxic chemicals that affect liver patients and pregnant/nursing women.
