All right, I started an indoor herb garden and it has been flourishing. Until my coriander became invested with aphids. Don’t ask me how I got aphids indoors I have no idea I have treated with neem oil, 3% hydrogen peroxide, and diatomaceous earth topically. But instead of curbing the infestation, they multiplied and also infested my oregano in the same pot. The coriander I can replace easily because I germinated some about a month ago and it’s taken off beautifully, but my oregano is still too small to be repotted and I want to try and save it if I can I was thinking of giving a water bath to try and wash away the majority of the eggs and bugs and loosen the soil enough for me to pull both plants out and repot them with soil cut with diatomaceous earth but I worry that would be too much and the shock would kill both plants anyway Thoughts? Advice, please!

    you can make a garlic and jalapeno spray like this start with 4 cloves of garlic and 1 jalapeno pepper blend them with about 2 cups of water until it’s as broken down as possible then let it sit for a few hours or overnight so it gets stronger after that strain it really well so there are no bits left pour the liquid into a spray bottle then add 1 teaspoon of mild dish soap and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil then shake it really well so everything mixes together the soap helps break down aphids and makes the spray stick better and the oil helps coat them and keeps the spray on the leaves longer to use it spray the whole plant especially under the leaves where aphids hide do it in the early morning or evening when it’s cool and there’s no strong sun spray lightly but cover the affected areas and repeat every 2 to 3 days until they are gone ⸻ when to use it use it when you see aphids on the plant or small clusters starting to form it also works as a prevention spray if you’ve had aphids before and want to stop them coming back when not to use it don’t use it in the middle of the day or in strong sun because it can burn the leaves don’t use it right after heavy rain because it will just wash off don’t spray it on a plant that is already really stressed or wilted and don’t use it every single day because it can irritate the plant over time

      I’ll try this if/when it bounces back, thank you! I ended up doing the re pot and there was a bit of root rot as well so the cilantro/coriander is currently in my quarantine spot and recovering under a grow light.
