Hi! So I’m a bit new to the plant parent life. I have these two beauties and, although they’re doing amazing, I wanted to see if anyone had any advice on the best way to get them to straighten out. Any advice would amazing thank you!!â˜ș

    They’re two different types of tomatoes and the fruiting process is causing them to way down A LOT😞

    Tomatoes benefit from a cage or trellis or stake. It’s hard to tell how wide the base of your pots are, but putting a wire cage in the pot would help support it as it grows. Also, they need lots and lots of sun. Not sure if you move them around, but it looks like they might be in a shaded location?

      They actually get about 7 hours of direct sunlight, but yes I’ll look into a cages for them thank you!!

    They will lean for sun, but tomatoes are also just vining plants. We tend to grow them upright, but they naturally want to lean over and crawl along the ground. I agree a tomato cage like above could help. By the end of our long growing season, I usually end up tying parts of the plant to the cage to keep it from getting so out of control.đŸ€Ș

      That’s what my mum suggested for my tomatoes. 2 had SERIOUSLY bent stems! Now I’m calling them my bondage tomatoes since they’re all tied up!

    I learned the hard way years ago that tomatoes need cages to grow upright especially in a storm. It’s better to start using the cages early in the growth period than to attempt adding one too late.
