How do I keep ant hills from forming near my plants and bugs eating my leaves? My entire back yard is sand. I've had to put in fenced in soil.

    Have you tried using diatomaceous earth?

      It’s a really fine powder (similar texture to talc but not harmful at all) that you dust in your plants/soil to prevent pests. Works great on my tomatoe plants. To pests it’s like little razor blades and they can’t cross through. I find it at my local hardware store in the gardening department, big box stores should def have it, and it’s pretty inexpensive.

    I container garden, personally. But the ants have found some of my plants. I think it would be worse if I planted in ground.
