So, I was doing some research on homemade fertilizers, and I came across this website called JADAM it's basically a group research on how to make fertilizers, pesticides, etc. from things in the garden or for relatively cheap. It's based in Korea and the creator and other participants started this cause they basically wanted to try and decommercialize farming. I was wondering if anyones tried this and if so how well does it work? it seems like everything in the book is on their website but formatting is p bad in my opinion so it makes it hard to find things so I am thinking about getting the book. But from what I could find it seemed plausible?

    I'd say try it, but make sure u have a back up plan incase it doesn't work as expected? Atleast you will have backup plan to save your plants.

    The concept is nice. But just looking at the thrips control. JWA is $36, NaOH is about $15-20, red clay depending on type is $10-20, JADAM suffer is $60, gingko berry can run like $20. And say making a gallon of pesticide mix. This would give you about 6 ish gallons of pesticide based on the quantity of JWA. So it's not unreasonable. But in comparison The organic Arber I buy is $25 and it makes 16 gallons, and covers multiple pests.

    You can try your hand at fertilizing organically but there may be more to it than you plan. Saving water from boiling eggs is calcium rich water that is great for plants like orchids. Making your own fertilizer tea with comfrey leaves for nitrogen is very doable if you grow comfrey. Keep in mind homemade fish fertilizer is very rank as are manure options. I would still buy the book for reading up on things, not everything is required in a personal garden environment. You may pick up tips and leave out all the rest
