So this is supposed to be iceberg lettuce but it’s just growing straight up?? Why?

    Summer heat will cause lettuce to bolt. Once it does this the taste will become much more bitter and the flowers will be the final stage

      Should I just cut it down and let it regrow or will it continue to bolt?

      If you leave it, you can harvest the seeds for use next year. Mine bolted and has self seeded pretty well, but yours might need some help with aim since it's in a smaller pot
