I’ve recently had a garlic clove sprout so I’ve placed it, two carrot scrap tops and a piece of ginger in a dish of water to ‘root’ them. I’m sure I’m doing it right but nothing seems to be happening. I’m completely new to this(beginner level) Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Put the cloves in some soil! Ideally cloves are planted in cooler temps and require cold weather to grow well. You can use the green sprouts though and chop them up for flavor like you would chives.

The above posted is right if you want to grow more garlic cloves. But you can also sprout garlic in water and use the green tops like chives or spring onions. Put an entire bulb of garlic in a shallow disk or ramekin. Change the water weekly or thereabouts. Snip the green tops when you want and they’ll grow back so you can use them again
