My rosemary plant is getting worse. I don’t know if I need to prune it or give it a proper burial. I’m following directions and fertilised her yesterday. She is a rescue. Maybe I need to prune her AND repot since she was in a pot with dead thyme and mostly dead mint. I’m floundering here.

It looks mine right before I gifted it to the compost bin. You can try cutting back to see if you can find green wood. If you find it, I would move into full sun. It might come back. Unfortunately my experience is rosemary is extraordinarily difficult to keep inside.

I’ve found rosemary inside is a pain. Down here in the south it behaves like a weed outside. Even in the winter. Where r u? If there is any green on it and you want to keep it inside consider clipping off all the dried up stuff and then maybe a growing lamp?

West Texas. Lubbock County. It would probably do great outside but not sure about the winter. I think spring and summer maybe but I’m unfamiliar with its habits.

Might be a little tricky. The cold winter nights will be hard on it. Locate it in a protected spot, maybe against a south facing wall (will create a microclimate). You can also try mulching in the winter.

Rosemary has difficulty surviving below 30°F in winter. Lubbock County is further north than Dallas. So, it gets colder than thirty too many times for a rosemary plant to survive winter outside.

Rosemary is a bit temperamental especially inside. It doesn’t like to be cold nor does it like to lose light just cause of the season change. If you can find anything still green - prune and get yourself a grow light to keep light on it especially during winter months. Keep it warm but still in a window.
