Can someone tell me how to help my watermelons? I planted a smaller variety like icebox or sugar babies and they start to gro but then begin to turn black and fall off the plant after only getting about the size of a quarter anyone have any ideas? I also have beef steak tomatoes that keep rotting on the bottom of the fruit before even getting to their full size and turning. Does anyone have any advice for me on either? I’ve already lost our cucumber plants this year to powdery mildew I’d hate to lose more plants!

I don’t have an answer. I’m in the same position. Hope we find an answer soon because the season is basically over!🙏🏾😩

Try a calcium supplement along with treatment for powdery mildew such as copper. I’m experimenting with Beauvaria bassiana. It’s helped alot. But it works much better when seeds are treated with it prior to planting which is not a solution now but maybe helps in the future. For now get calcium!

No problem! I see an error I said all the watering we had to do: a lot of us had a ton of rain. But same principle. Too much rain leaches the nutrients out. Just feed. Should help I hope. Sometimes it’s too far gone I had a few like that but miracles do happen. Oh! Boomerang solution can fix nutrient issues too. That’s another miracle worker.

I will try the calcium I’ve gotta go to town tomorrow I’ll see if I can get some from Lowe’s or something!! Thank you it’s worth a shot!!! I may keep this in mind and add some to my planters next year before I transplant or seed! Any recommendation on how much to add?
