MY MINT IS RANDOMLY DYING!! When I first planted it it was thriving and growing so fast. Then suddenly I noticed it started drooping and the leaves were folding over. Now all the leaves have browned or already fallen off. And the roots appear to be lifting out of the soil?? I planted it in a container on my balcony. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? It looks burnt and there was a heat wave but the soil is wet bc we've had so much downpour the past few weeks before the heat wave. Thanks in advance!

If the soil hasn’t dried up from that downpour my guess would be that it got overwatered, can be tricky to fix and especially if it’s been like this for some time 🥲 but checking the roots and repotting might be a first step 😃

My mint had similar issues this week. It was thriving on my patio in the 2 months long drought and record heatwave. I watered twice a day. Skipped the afternoon watering because the first rain in two months dump a lot on my plants. The plant went limp and dried within hours. Soil was wet to 1 inch. Turns out only the first inch of topsoil was wet! I watered and it’s mostly recovered. So under watering was the issue. Had to check ALL of the soil and roots to be sure. The before pictures are on the top and left. Pictures taken today on bottom right.
