Hey! So I’ve decided I want to begin pot growing tomatos but I wasn’t expecting for so many of the seeds to actually germinate. I’m going to repot some of the seedlings and pluck others out from their roots. How many seedlings should I leave in the pot to grow? It’s an 8” plastic pot with drainage holes if that matters
You will end up with only one tomato plant in a 12 inch pot if want a lots of tomatoes. I would not pull too many until the seedlings put out more leaves. Then, you can see the strong growers. You can clean out all damaged ones, ones coming out of the same hole and slow growers if you want to clear out some now. Just a suggestion.

I did this same thing and moved it into a 10 inch pot. Unfortunately, I’m going on a mini trip and have to rely on my friend to make it happen for me!
