Hi, I am growing indoor cilantro and I see these prominent yellow spots on the leaves. I started using neem oil about a month back thinking the plant was infected, but I see no improvement. I also recently noticed a web that runs between some leaves. Any help here is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Heavy spider mite invasion requiring multiple applications. It’s cheaper and more efficient to throw these away and start over. The growth cycle of cilantro is very short at about 4 to 6 weeks from seedlings to the mature plants producing seeds (coriander) in warmer summer weather. Better to put energy in growing uninfected plants instead of spending time repeatedly treating these plants for invaders. Doesn’t look tasty. Also, check other plants. These spread to nearby plants.

Ah! I was scared of that. Luckily this plant was in isolation, so I wouldn’t have to worry too much about the spread to other plants. Thank you for the info, I will move this plant to the graveyard soon. Also, would you know any good practices to avoid spider mites in future? Want to know if I am doing something wrong.
