hey y’all! just wanting some advice on my basil. I’ve had a plant before and it thrived but this one is not looking too hot. Some leaves are getting wilty on the edges and some just don’t come out or they just die immediately. any ideas what’s happening? it’s in a south facing window sill and I water every other day. (just to keep the soil moist) TIA!

I kind of have that issue too. However, since I’ve been pruning them, they’ve been growing baby ones so I’m not sure!

I suspect it’s overwatering if new growth is dying as soon as it sprouts. Plus, watering every other day sounds excessive based on my experience on growing basil in pots. Keeping the soil evenly moist is typically for seeds and seedlings. I water once or twice a week for a basil plant that size. Check for root rot. Let the soil dry out some before watering again. Good luck. 🍀
