I know this probably isn’t the best place to ask this but does anyone know what I can put by my indoor/outdoor plants to keep animals away from them?

My nursery has plants call “Dog and Cat Away.” I bought planters that hang on the sides of my raised garden beds, and planted them there. I've done it two years in a row now and it really works! The first year I didn't have it, I swear every cat in the neighborhood smelled the fresh soil and wanted to dig in it. Ew. The plant smells kind of skunky, kind of herb-y, and I guess the animals think there's a skunk around so they stay away.

I practically have a zoo in my backyard but saw a video recommending putting kitchen scraps (I use organic veggies, fruit, coffee) in a big covered bucket of water and letting it sit then watering garden with jt. Supposed to keep animals away and fertilize. I barely have a chicken wire fence around raised bed and no animals go near it. It’s kind of amazing. I’ve lost 2 gardens in the past to critters. Note it smells like death but is working so far. I spread at night and smell is gone by a.m. Doesn’t work on bugs.
