I have some seedlings that were planted in ground about 2-3 weeks ago. Temps dropped last night but didn’t reach frost temps so I wasn’t too worried. However when I came out this morning my happy and thriving plants were brown, wilty and some even looked burned and crispy. I’m so heartbroken! Any suggestion or what you think caused it? Basil and squash below for reference.

Get rid of the dead leaves. Water if needed and watch.

Thank you so much! Leave the soggy stem? Or trim down to the stiffer part?

      I would leave.

Sorry this happened but yes trim dead parts leave it and see what happens. We’ve all experienced this I’m sure at some point. We all kill plants sadly but sometimes that plant will recover and produce very well.
