I have two. They want excellent drainage but crave water. Full sun for best results. Fertilize regularly. If they are inside you will need to pollinate the flowers yourself.

What fertilizer do you use? Did you grow it from a seed. I’ll take all the tips you have! 🙂

We have two Meyer Lemons, a Mexican Lime and a calamondin. So far I’ve only gotten fruit off the Meyers. I’ve been using the Espoma Citrus Tone for several years and like it. I think the main thing with fertilizer is to make sure it is appropriate for edibles and to follow instructions. I bough saplings in gallon pots. They were grown locally which helps get them climatized to the region faster (or so I find). We transplanted them into 18” diameter plastic pots. It helps keep the roots moist and gives them plenty of room. Makes it tough to move and harder to find a spot for them. The biggest thing I’ve found is sun sun sun. They want all the sunlight. I have to pull mine indoors during the winter and they sulk. The minute they are moved outside they start pushing out new growth. When your plant sets fruit, thin the crop so that you do not tax your plant. Mine are roughly 42” tall and keep around 6 fruits on the plant. Citrus are challenging but super fun. good luck!
