Hello! I purchased my first strawberry plant a few days ago. When repotting I noticed it had a rubber band around the base and is actually about 8 plants bound together. Do I leave as is or separate them all? I desperately want to keep them alive as this is my second time planting strawberries and my first go around ( bare root) I lost them all!
From my reading separate them and plant 8-12 inches apart. I plant to plant strawberries as well, keep us posted

Agreed. You’ll want to separate. Word of unasked for advise - get something to keep the slugs and snails at bay. There is nothing worse than picking a big luscious ripe strawberry only to find out something else has already taken a bite. Good luck!
