   This is great! Two pieces of advice. First, though, what kind of tomato is it? If it is a patio tomato variety meant for tomatoes you are probably ok in that pot. But if it is a standard tomato like Roma, sweet 100s or early girls you don’t have near enough soil to support the size it will grow to. Your planter should be filled with soil to reach nearly the top. Also, in summer plan to water it daily. I have self watering tomato pots and a mature plant will drink easily 2-3 GALLON of water a day. (Mine hold two plants each and 4 gallons of water and will be bone dry every day by mid-summer). Other suggestion, make sure you pinch the flowers your basil produce otherwise it will seed and you will have basil growing EVERYWHERE there is soil it can land on. I had a single plant a few years back that went to seed while I was on vacation. 10 days without pinching flowers. Next year from that one plant I had a 4 x 8 foot plot of nothing but basil plants. The upside…I got 7 gallons of pesto made to give to friends by early fall. 🤣

     They are Celebrity tomatoes..? 🤭 I will go put more soil right now, thank you!!!! I live in phx so I water them 3am 2pm and then top them off around 7pm!!! lol I like basil bbuutt not that much 😂 I will make sure to pinch!! Wow, thank you!!

   Glad to hear you have them on a schedule. I spent years in Texas and growing tomatoes was the bane of my existence until I got self watering pots. Now I routinely get plants that are 8-9 feet tall and have to give a ton of fruit away simply because we can’t eat it all and I only have “so much room” in my freezer for tomato sauce. 😉
