Update, definitely mealybugs again. Just saw one moving. Treating with alcohol and pouring hydrogen peroxide mix through the soil. Why does this keep happening??? Does anyone know what this stuff is that is always on this cactus? It's my only one that does it and I've cleaned it off numerous times with alcohol but it always comes back. I'm concerned about putting it near my other cactus until I know what it is.

What is this succulent?đŸȘŽ Hello everyone! I bought this adorable succulent but I’m not sure which sedum it is. It looks like a sedum dasyphyllum, but the leaves are much smaller, less tight than sedum dasyphyllum minor and major, and you see the small stems more. I also don’t think it’s a Spanish stonecrop. What do you think? Any help would really be appreciated!đŸ€ (for reference, I have a five inch pot)

This plant gave me my first glimpse at cactus bloom insanity. Since, she has had a whole bunch of bug problems, and I can remember one night where I opened the garbage bin to toss her. But that size. The investment. I can beat those bugs, right? She also HATES to be moved around. Note: the bloom was 2022, not 2023.

I find this personally miraculous. Never have I ever felt comfortable that I was doing anything right for this plant until now. It just needs đŸ”„ pretty much.

Writing about my jade plant again
I recently got a grow light, I watched a bunch of videos and it seemed reputable. I am currently using it on my jade plant because they need substantial sun and normally jades start to get this pinkish red colour when they get enough sun. I used to put the jade plant outside if it was warm enough and so he started to get that colour and the grow light continued to encourage that but lately it’s been fading. Anyone have any idea why? First picture is before, second is after.

Does anyone know what kind of cactus this is? My app said it’s an Easter Lily cactus but I feel like it doesn’t look like that

Question for anyone who has a thriving Burros Tail in 100+ weather.đŸ€Ș I live in North East Texas. I grew one fine last year until it got 100+. I got another one this year planning to keep it out of the intense heat. I thought that was its only issue but I’m beginning to think this is just one of those plants that need more care until they are bigger. I had it out in the spring but we get daily soaking rains thanks to lake effect. I brought it in my garage, repotted it, and placed it in front of a fan. Had it under a 5000K grow light, looked sad and stopped growing. So I put it in my kitchen under a 6500K grow light. It got sunburn. Ok, I moved it to my porch where it can get partial sun, but is shaded. Got knocked over, so I moved it to my front garden with morning sun and shade. Last week I saw it looking wilty and remembered it hates the heat. I quickly brought it in to my kitchen, watered it and moved it under the grow light. Then I remembered as I was falling asleep that it got sunburned there before, so I got up and moved it back in the garage under the 5000K light. It’s 90 in there so cooler than inside and there’s a fan in there, but it doesn’t really thrive there. It’s in a 2” pot, gets watered when the lower leaves feel less firm, and gets fertilized with a mild succulent fertilizer. I thought about putting it in my bathroom window with my variegated pothos, but I don’t know if that’s enough light.đŸ€Ș Most of my succulents are doing great but this one is giving me a run for my money.😄 What am I missing?😅đŸ€Ș

Aloe leaves keep falling out. Not sure why but recently one leaf at a time will kind of just rot away at the base and then I can just pull it right out of the pot and it’s all black and rotten looking. You can see this one here is about to go and I just pulled one out today.

Gaston (my Gasteraloe) looks sick. He's in my kitchen receiving morning sun. I water him every two weeks. Repotted him 2 months ago, he outgrew the thepothecwasin. His leaves are wizzled looking. And he's the leaning tower, more and more every day. Not sure what to do to save him. I've had too many succulents join my plant graveyard. I'm trying not to add another. TIA.

It rained a few days ago & my cacti/succs do get wet since they are not covered by anything. It’s currently raining & according to the forecast more at the end of the week. They are all in a fast draining soil except for my pearls— I guess my question is should I bring them inside for the rainy days when it’s this many in a row??

Hey there! My jade plant was looking quite leggy and sad (leaning a lot to the right) so I got a sun lamp to improve his state. I know that jades get these lovely red edges when they’re happy and I’m seeing some show up in the top leaves, will the other leaves get this too or no? Are there any other things I should change? Thanks!
