Recent change of weather in Texas, itâs starting to get slowly colder everyday. My Calandiva, while it is still growing new tiny leaves at the top, it is continuing to droop instead of âlook upâ and feel firm like it used to before the rain incident. Itâs been almost a week since I brought her back in and I really do not know what else to do. The soil is dry, the leaves are very soft instead of firm, and Iâve followed every âhackâ possible to bring her back to her cheerful self. Any other tips yâall would recommend?
Not sure whatâs happening here please help!!đ©
First picture is March 2 picture is May 3 picture is today shouldnât they have grown more? What did I do wrong?
Getting some blooms on this âRuby Slipper.â I got this plant on the day I said, âGet some leafy things.â This is as leafy as I get. Itâs so fuzzy. (Pic of plant in the window was a month ago. It didnât seem to care for afternoon sun so much. Go figure.)
So Saturday night I had a little insomniaâŠâșïžđ€Ș Ordered these cuties from Etsy đ„°
Sometimes itâs so hard to take cuttings when a plant is so healthy but it was getting too big and trimming promotes it to be more bushy. This is Devilâs Backbone succulent. These cuttings will make a nice new plant once they root.
Anyone enjoy the feeling of seeing a sneaky bug on a pebble in your plantâs home? I knew this pot was getting too much water with ye olde âfill it until it drainsâ biz, but pulling these guys out revealed what a lazy job I did with soil; this was a gift for repotting and Dremel work for a friend, and I wasnât in my element where I can collect rocks from the xeriscaped yards around me (with my neighbors trying to keep it classy, I will never pay for shale again shhhhhh). Note: I will never, ever use that Chia pot based on who took shape once given hair. Come try the Chia politician, which is 100 times less fun than Chia Scooby Doo. Anyway, I removed the insane amount of soil, filled the bottom half with a couple big rocks, loose clay pebbles, pumice, a little soil, a sprinkling of cinnamon - I believe in its ability to both promote root growth and irritate every bug that smells it - and a couple sprays of Neem. I cleaned off some of the ick spots etc. True to its Tolkien name, there is a sorta mine shaft and secret rooms running through the pot to give each plant some independence - like having their own runway to growâŠand hide gold, and give Dwarves within a purpose. đ§ââïž
do i need a specific soil or desert mix for succulents and cactuses? i need to replant 2 cacti and a few succulents and im not sure if i should use regular potting mix or something special.. if so can i use the same thing for both?
Ms Aloe plant here seems to have a weak root system and therefore seems very wobbly. How do I help her strengthen her roots?
Oh hello there, little flower who chose the first cold and dreary October day to bloom. Beansâ brother, Gaucho, bloomed last week and really didnât appreciate me swabbing the flower for seeds. Despite being attached to slow growers, these flowers were fast to bloom and continued to morph during the day (some petals elongated to the side, other bits reached for the sky). ps This plant makes 5 out of 5 wins for Mountain Crest Gardens. I highly recommend them.
is this normal or a sign of root rot?? i sprayed him with neem this morning put him away from the light and just put him back and am hoping this isn't an issue :((
hello again i will be replanting the 5 succulents and cactus i showed earlier but can any be planted in the same pot, not sure if i have enough for each to be separte
is it ok that these 5 succulents are all in the same smallish pot?
Hi! Can someone please help me identify these plants? The first two I propagated after I found out how easy it is to do so with succulents. The second two are my mother plants Iâm hoping I could bring some life back into. (I believe they are succulents) If anyone could recommend plant identifier apps without a pay wall that would be great too! Thank you!
Hello, I really need some advice with my Aloe. a client gave me Vera about a year ago and sheâs been kind of abandoned unfortunately. Iâm trying my best to bring her back to health now but I have no clue how. She has sprung back to life a lot more then she was but does she have too many leaves? ( I have no clue what to do if this is the case) All of the pictures Iâm seeing on here only have about 6/7 sprouts but mine seem to be growing everywheređ any advice is appreciated. Thank you âșïž

Anyone know why my turtle leafs are growing so little. I need help
Anyone know how I can revive this succulent. It fell out of its pot and after that it hasnât looked to good.
Happy Sunday! I got this succulent from a mystery propagation box online and it was labeled as âVera Higgins (Graptosedum)â. Itâs doing really well and has a lot of roots so I decided on adding it to Planta. My problem is I donât see it on the Planta catalog. Anyone know what option I should choose?
