Serious question are you supposed to remove the pups from your cactus? It is so tedious and I accidentally leave wounds, but if I leave them it gets completely overtaken.

String of watermelons has one flower open. ššŖ“
Say this one fast: Tephrocactus articulatus papyracanthus. I ran an errand and thought I might peep in on some more "flowery" succulents (i.e. a big Echeveria type) that don't need the afternoon sun to thrive. The boutique plants find me. Like, really. I typed ānurseriesā into Maps to figure out my new neighborhood, and the plant spirits guided me haha. I hadnāt seen this species at Home Depot (Iām not there every morning, but I regularly check in), and it was shoved way under the shelf. It could use some light and nutrients, and it needs to work on growing another neck. Note that this guy is three times the size of the other specimen in my collection. When deciding which of the 50 versions of āwell draining soilā to use on succulents, I usually glance over where it lives (Western Argentina in this case). āIt is easy to grow but usually couldnāt get very tall as segment kept falling apartā and āis very easy to grow by just knocking off one of the 'cones' and stuffing it in the groundā sounds like a no-brainer. Looking at the underground root system (this is a mature plant), Iām safe in assuming it prefers to get busy above ground š (I used a mix of yellow bag soil, pumice and clay balls. Nothing complicated.) This species is one of my favorites because it always looks frozen in a chaotic moment.
I have a cactus and she was growing mold so I moved her to a different pot and removed the dead one and she looks so much better!
I got this SUPER leggy sedum sunsparkler hybrid from Walmart a week or 2 ago. Now that thereās a ton of new growth should I prune/trim it back? She definitely looks happier now, but I think it could be growing fuller š
Hey guys:)) do we know what kind of plant this is on the left? Just got her yesterday in China town:) assuming itās some kind of succulent? Not sure Iām a new plant mom š I think the second picture is a type of aloe but they look a little bit similar so was curious if maybe the first photo may be in the same area( the leaf pattern is completely different haha)
Is this aloe looking overwatered? I only water it about every 2-3 weeks. As far as growth itās been doing great growing well but I noticed the bottom leaves were drying up with time and just today saw that the stem wasnāt in very good condition.

Finally got around to separating these pups! I been looking for a nice wide shallow pot to combine some of succs but I never get lucky.
Hi there! I brought this guy home the other day. From a big box store. He was root bound and the soil was soaked. Repotted him up 2ā into a gorgeous pot. Itās more bowl shaped though. Will he keep his upright look? Also, since he was soaked, I used new dry succulent soil. Should I skip watering after his repotting?
Anyone have any idea why my African Milk Plant has grown skinny and then got thicker again? Thanks in advance!
Such a cool cacti, and heās growing another, little arm ⦠šµ
And last but not least Madagascar Palm
Lace Aloe
Does anyone know what happened to my agave and how to fix that? š„¹ Thank you!
Does anyone know what this guy is? Iāve tried google, and all the plant identification apps, and nothing similar even comes up š
Hey all! I got these 2 succulents a while back but they werenāt labeled for what kind of succulents. Anyone know what they are? And does anyone have tips for taking care of them? Since getting them, they have just been dropping all their leaves. I donāt think Iāve been over or under watering, so Iām not sure what the problem could be.
first time i've had a succulent start to bloom!
I posted about this Echeveria about a month ago bc of a growth I was uncertain of. I now know itās definitely flowering! Iāll post again when it officially opens. Anyone else see little hints of pinkish-orange?! š
does my succulent seem to appear a bit leggy ?? shes lost a few leaves before which might be the reason she appears not as full, either way iām hoping sheās not stretching
