This cactus got too tall so I chopped it and put it on top the fridge to dry and forgot about it for a bit but when I remembered I decided to replant it back in the same spot. Been replanted for over a month and I just noticed the flower bud. I am not sure what type of cactus this but I imagine the flower once open will help me pinpoint it.

Whatâs in that sack, you creep? Just three green things I got on the coldest, worst air day so far this year. Island vibes only.
I went in to get the Corn Cob Euphorbia - I did not know that the white version is the variegated of the species - but this shop had a huge succulent drop last week.

Hey! Ever since I got a few of my succulents a few months back, Iâve noticed a few(around 3) of them have had their bottom growth dying off, the Black Prince had been doing that since I got it, all my plants are going noticeably. New growth, a good green hue, itâs just that the bottom leaves seem to be dying. My first guess couldâve been maybe Iâm watering them too much, I have them on a schedule obviously, and have been trying to sync up their watering times, but even before I replanted them, they would still be doing that.
I know my set up isnât perfect, I have them by a window with a good amount of light, but maybe it could be because itâs been a lot colder recently? It got down to about 15 degrees a few days ago. The last pictures been like that for a few days, it hasnât necessarily gotten worse, itâs just been drooping a lot, it has no visible signs of rot or anything.

I NEED HELP! My sister has been âtaking careâ of my plant while I've been awake for a couple of weeks and I found it on a table in our study room which is always dark with barely any sun, and apparently she hasnât bothered to water it at all. How do I get my plant healthy again??

Iâm getting BLOOMS!!! I didnât have to do the weird âput your plant in the dark for 20 hours a day and donât water herâ thing. All I did was give her good light during the summer. Iâm so proud. Next year my 30+ year old Christmas Cactus will have buds too. Iâm going to give her some grow lights. She has had a hard couple of years with moving to my house from my grandparents and getting a new pot. But she is loving her new home now.

A check in with Siouxsie. Supposedly, what is happening is that the top is searching for an âalternate radiation point.â She was also totally cooked (not in a bad way) in July 2022. You can see the before and when she started reaching.
I have almost chopped the top and re-potted, but I really donât want to disrupt wherever the heck this is going. She is slowly filling in her neck, but the bottom is all spikes and business.
Iâm going to admit that I re-potted this one six times in 2022. Plants was still a casual experiment at the time.

Hello, just wanted to check and see if this guy is doing ok, I know some succulents/cactus can start to grow really long when in distress and just donât know a lot about my false Christmas cactus. It is currently in a south(west) facing window in my office. Itâs flowering which I think is a good sign. But Iâd take any tips or recommendations on what to do to make the plant happier!

Is this guy ok? Iâve never had a pest so Iâm not sure if this has something on it or if itâs just been neglected. Kept it quarantined for a month. It looked way worse before!

Question 1: is this plant looking good? Question 2: what is this white powder? I donât spray her with anything and I donât think it is dust. Is it ok?

Anything that flowers is getting its own post. Cool? If that flower looks unusual and alien-based, same deal.
Like many of the odd S. African sucs, it is fairly agnostic as far as light wants. That is, it thrives on the bottom shelf under a relatively strong light (Mars Hydro 1000w, which is better suited to growing âcropsâ). Put it in the sun and the colors stay the same. The lavender and translucent blue is just đ
Note that all the random pieces are bits I knocked off during the first week.
ps Big green to the right got a spine into my knuckle/down to the bone. Itâs a bit painful, and I did not hallucinate (dang).

Elephants are known to cry for emotional reasons like humans⊠so I only thought it would be appropriate to pot my string of tears in an elephant planter đ

Does anyone know what the cacti on the left are called? The plant scanner doesnât work on it!
Thank you :)

Everyone else is grumbling and buying Xmas trees while Iâm squeezing around everyone with a basket of Mammillaria elongata, box of coarse sand, fungicide.
Iâm not a huge fan of the lady finger variety, but this one is a Pink N y m ph. I couldnât resist. The Monstrose was a no-brainer. Anything resembling a sci-fi dwelling is coming home with me.
Included is a picture of the current setup. I had to lower my table, but the grow lights on there are now unnecessary even on a cloudy day. Iâll post more about that once I get the landscape right.

What should I do to help this poor guy out? đ± it recently lost one of its petals and I replanted it in the dirt. Hoping itâll sprout some roots but it is not looking too well any tips?

Any tips on mass propagation? I have a huge succulent I just repotted and all of these guys came from it. Excited to see if I can get a bunch of babies going. The original succulent came from my boyfriends great grandmother whoâs mom had the OG succulent đ so Iâd love to gift little babies to his nieces and nephews. (11 of them lol)

Repotted some of these guys last weekend đ I canât get enough

I am trying to be sure that this is normal or scale. It came with these spots that look like wax
