I love this little variegated fellow ššš¤
Hi! I got this plant and Iām very new to all sorts of plant/succulent care. According to the app, itās a Mexican Snowball (I thought it was a hen and chickā¦are those synonymous?). Couple super quick questions⦠1. Is it okay that the top is leaning to one side? I thought it was because it was growing towards the sun, but rotation hasnāt corrected the shape. I have a small skewer as you can see to give it some support, but I also donāt want to cause damage to the plant over time having it leaning. 2. Should I expect it to continue to grow new branches? There are two you can see in the picture. One is a little more mature and is starting to really flourish and the other is just a little baby bud. I think Iām starting to notice other buds beginning where leaves previously were (the open circles on the stem). 3. What is the film on the leaves and is it important to the care of the plant? I noticed there are some spots that are shiny rather than the dusty white look and Iām not sure if that is good, bad, or doesnāt matter. Thank you for all your help! I appreciate all the advice, Iām still learning!
hi all!! i was recently gifted this little guy, and i was told what type of plant it was, but i absolutely cannot remember it! i tried googling a bit to no avail. iām pretty sure that itās some type of succulent, but i might be misremembering. any ideas what it is?
Hi everyone! I just picked this beauty up from Walmart. I canāt find an exact match on Planta. When I scan the plant I get āzebra plantā when I type in aloe firecracker, I get āstar aloe firecrackerā but itās all green; no red variegation. So planty experts, which is it? Which would be more suitable for planta? Thanks!
I could use some help please! From reading up on it, I think my snake plant needs more light since itās growing upwards but not getting any bushier. I was thinking of repotting it into the terra cotta pot in the picture. Iām afraid they might start tipping over but I also donāt want to lose it by cutting them down because itās from my sonās beach wedding a few years ago. Any suggestions on how to handle this properly?
I chopped my sedum because it was getting wayyyyyy too leggy, should I drop the bigger stem pieces in water or just lay them onto and spray them ?
Is this normal?
This guy is loving being in this water. Not really sure what it is. I almost feel bad potting it šŖ“
I found it like this after his long winter nap. Are we worried about this or is he gonna make a comeback?! Google doesnāt seem to understand my question when I try to explain the situation here and I honestly didnāt think heād survive the winter so now Iām a little lost.
I have my daily tasks using fertilizer sticks and I want to change it to the liquid but I canāt find that option in the app. Anyone have a answer ?
Anyone have any ideas what this could be ? Grey pot btw
My echveria seems to have a fuzzy texture. Is this good/normal?

Does anyone know what these yellow parts are?
Hi friends! I have a question about using a terracotta pot versus plastic nursery pot. I know succulents/jades donāt like to be wet, so waterings are sparse. But for a terracotta pot, that absorbs water more quickly, right? Should succulents/jades in a terracotta pot be watered more frequently than a succulent/jade in a plastic nursery pot? Planta is still saying waterings should be 2-3 weeks apart. But I feel like my terracotta plants are drying out and should be watered more frequently. Fun fact: Iāve had a bad history of overwatering plants and killing them so Iāve been using Planta to improve my plant care. So I just want to make sure Iām doing whatās right for the plant as I learn my way through this crazy wonderful plant world lol Also, most of my succulents/jades are tiny, in 2 in pots, having been propagated and growing from a leaf, if thatās helpful at all.
Just got my assorted Cactus from Loweās! I love Cacti. Any tips or heads up when starting my new plants life? Also, I donāt have premium.
Hi plant friends! New to the app and I mainly joined because of these two babies here. Iāve done the plant doctor with Ai through the app and it said these were under watered. The agave was pretty sickly looking when I bought it a couple weeks ago and it just looks pitiful now. The red yuccas arenāt looking too hot either. Mind you, I live in west Texas where weāre reliving the dust bowl and itās spring which means high winds and dried out soil begins. But these are typically drought tolerant after established. Iām worried Iāve watered too much trying to establish them. The app said they were underwatered. Any one have any suggestions to getting my babies looking healthy?
I inherited this guy from a coworker and Iāve been caring for it (poorly) for a couple years. Iāve no idea what type of plant this isā¦.some kind of succulent. It has new growth, but the more mature shoots are constantly yellow at the base and I feel like the leaves drop pretty frequently. Any ideas on how to improve caring for this guy? Thanks in advance!
