Does anyone know if itâs normal for the older leaves of aloe to die off? This is the first one iâve owned so Iâm not sure. One of the bottom leaves looks yellow and sunken in.

Hi! Iâve been a casual houseplant lover for about a year, and just purchased my first succulent- an Ox Tongue/Gasteria. Planta recommends watering every 20 days, but Iâm curious what anyone who has had this plant before *actually* found to work for them? Any tips would be appreciated! đȘŽ

Does it look like grow light is working for it?? It did grow flowers. Theyâre done blooming so I have removed them.

Finally got around to repotting my cactus. He is well over 5 years old and had totally outgrew his pot.

Hello all! I was wondering if someone could help me figure out whatâs going on with my moonstone succulent? Iâve had it for about 10 months, itâs been under the same grow light the entire time and I donât water until it completely dries out. Iâve recently noticed that the new leaves are forming oddly. Iâve looked to see if there are any pests, but other than the strange leaf formation I donât see any evidence of bugs. Any thoughts on why the leaves look so strange? Two pics show the weird leaves and one was taken a few months ago when it was healing.

Hi! Can yâall help me identify this plant? Iâve attached pictures over the past 5 months (since itâs changed a lot). Itâs currently under a grow light (might be why itâs growing taller now, not sure.)

Ok, so Iâve been trying to propagate a Burroâs tail succulent and so far theyâre doing good. Iâve been spraying the soil 2 two times a day but recently Iâve realized there was a white cover of mold above the soil, so I dug out the top of the soil and readjusted the cuttings. Iâm not dumb and I know mold grows beyond the surface but I havenât seen any more mold and I was wondering how long I should wait before trying to spray the cuttings with water to avoid the mold regrowing, and just how to prevent the mold in the future.

Hi! Me and my roommate spotted a flower bud on her indoor cactus and we are so excited to see it bloom! I also have an indoor blue columnar cactus and was wondering if it will ever develop flowers. I tried googling and it says that the cactus does flower, however Iâm not sure if they were just referring to outdoor grown blue columnar cacti. Thanks for the help!đ”

This plant was bought at an Aldi. I repotted it pretty soon after and watered it, but it doesnât look like it is doing so well and it hasnât grown at all. Iâve tried putting it in direct sunlight and indirect sunlight but Iâm not sure. Does it look okay?

P.C. here is worrying me, a lot.
Ignore where P.C. Is situated in this photo. He just moved into this space today and he has already requested an apartment on the higher floors so heâs not so cramp.
The pot is an amazing terracotta clay pot as it absorbs water very quickly. I just watered maybe 2 weeks ago and maybe once in November of 2023.
I am not ruling out that itâs a water problem. I just think itâs more of a sunlight light problem but thereâs nothing I can really do about that.
We are in the final stretches of darkness and PC here along with a snake plant are visually telling me that they have checked out and they are dying back
In the past, I have repotted PC and the more arid soil and that did help him that season so thatâs not not an option for the snake plant. I think I have to pull him up and replant him into a pot to put in a pot, but it may be too late for some of them. Weâll see thoughts questions, funeral arrangements. Let me know.
p.s. The former waxed Amaryllis, an Amaryllis that I purchased around Dec 1, 2022 from Loweâs, continues to be thankful by producing huge stalks and beautiful red trumpet flowers.
Which is completely opposite of these two that are almost saying to me:
- What ? You want more? But we did that last year. We really donât wanna do it again this year, and you canât make us. -
