I’ve had this succulent for a while. I’m not very good with succulents as you can tell trying to get better, but can you guys help me out with this? What do I need to do what what’s wrong with it? I have a feeling I’ve been over watering it so I haven’t watered it in a minute, but I’m not too sure.

Hello everyone! I just got this lovely Gymnocalycium friedrichii 'Variegata' from a local plant shop and wanted some advice about watering. I watered it yesterday, and as it is only in a two inch pot, it is already completely dry. Im reluctant to follow the “every two week schedule” that Planta gives me because of how quickly it dries. What do you guys think? How often should it be watered? I am well aware that they want to dry completely between waterings, but two weeks completely dry seems a bit much. Thanks!

YAY! I have posted a few times here. Usually “pls help what am I doing?!” but I am so thrilled to share what I am convinced is great news! I have kept my bunny ear cactus happy enough that it’s growing! I have looked far and wide online, and even though most of the results I found on Google were mixed or confusing at best, I am pretty sure that this is healthy new growth! The baby/paddle has been growing steadily, the original paddles are all deep green in color (with the exception of a small spot at the top of one paddle that’s been there from the start) and the newest one is full of little bristles and I’ve noticed a VERY slight curve (more like a very round growth “flattening”) as it grows slowly up and out to accommodate where it would live on the plant. I’m so excited about this and hope it’s good growing. Upgrading my plant light seems to have made a difference, and this has to be my most low maintenance plant by far. I hope this is good growth because my sempervivum is dying (inevitable, sadly) and I need a win. Here’s “when I got the plant” compared to now!

Why is my Hindu rope hoya suddenly taking off like this? This plant is a slow and steady grower so this is new for it.

Hi everyone! I’m a new to several baby succulents. I don’t really know how to care for them and how often I should water them. I usually let the soil get supper dry before I water them. That’s about all I know.

I recently discovered this affected area on my cactus. It appears to have a yellow hue towards the center and a brown, shriveled edge on one of its ribs. I use a grow light and typically water according to Planta’s recommended schedule, but the soil was EXTREMELY dry. Would anyone happen to know if the cause of this issue is underwatering? If so, will sufficient watering allow that area to plump up and regain its overall color and shape? Any information is appreciated! #helpsavecucumber 🌵

hi y’all! 👋🏼 can anyone help me identify this lil buddy? i have it in planta as a roadkill cactus (consolea rubescens) because it’s so 2-dimensional. however, it’s also pretty spiky & almost every photo i’ve seen of a roadkill cactus doesn’t have these spikes on the paddles. could it be some other type of opuntia? tia!

Trying to encourage Pearl to get fuller instead of longer. I had all the strands coiled up (see photo) for about 3 months. Uncoiled some strands today to check length and I don’t think any of them had started growing roots into the soil. Any advice?

I’m not quite sure if this plant is doing well or not, I was told it was a echeveria, but no echeveria i’ve found looks like this. The plant is dropping but it’s still growing.

How should I propagate this offshoot? Cut it off from the base? Or leave it?

I just bought this new plant and it accidentally fell out. I put it back in the dirt and moved the soil around a bit. Anything i can do to make sure it survives?

I had a friend give me a bunch of cuttings of these spineless prickly pear cacti. Got them all in dirt today!

Is anyone familiar with this Echeveria hybrid Raquel? I bought it several weeks ago because it was one I had never heard of. I think those are flower stalks coming out of the sides. But I don’t recall echeverias having leaves on the flower stalks. Very little info online. And I don’t think it’s etoliated because it’s under a very bright grow light. In fact it actually got a little burned from it. It has grown a lot in very shot time.
