(Photo is from a temporary spot, he's set up in a lovely spot by a window) Hello! I have a few questions from a beginner! I've just bought a Euphorbia horrida hybrid (specifically i believe grey-form but not 100%) and am planning on re-soiling him in a couple days I think he's doing alright; the baby is a good sign i'm hoping! And he feels very sturdy including towards the base. I didn't notice the stains until now but i hope it's nothing bad Rambling aside, questions below. Any help is very appreciated!: 1. Is he doing alright? Anything do i need to watch out for since he's bought from a hardware store? 2. Should i trim the dead (or maybe just dormant?) flowers or leave them be? 3. I have old Miracle-Gro succulent/cactus soil. Should i buy new soil or a different kind? I've heard mixed opinions on how good that soil is for draining 3.5. If that soil is fine, would it be fine for the winter? It supposedly has extra growth/nutrient stuff in it that might be bad during dormant months 4. When would be the best time for changing the soil? I read you want to water them and then wait 2-3 days for the roots to absorb some water. If the soil towards the bottom of the pot is still damp right now, should i change it to the proper soil when the next watering is? 5. When i do the soil change, should i go ahead and repot at the same time? Specifically into the unglazed pot shown (to get him out of the plastic). If so, how many drainage holes should i add (currently has none)? 6. Should i leave the baby or repot it into a smaller one? Or move it closer to the main one etc etc? Thank you so much for reading and for any help!!

Hi! I have a few new plants, rhipsalis paradoxa, rhipsalis ewaldiana, rhipsalis ramulosa (I think?), rhipsalis trigona. I am finding contradictory information online about light. Can I put them close to the south window indoors, where they get sun or is that too much light for them?

Does anyone know what’s wrong with my plant? I’ve tried not watering it as everyone says it does well without. But I must’ve only watered it a couple weeks ago. Any suggestions?

😭is it gone??? I have had this plant (Elephant bush or mini jade) for 25yrs!!! Lived in the Central Valley of CA where lower elevation and not a very cold winter year after year. Now living in southern NM - high desert elevation, and temps in the mid-upper 50’s, covered in the below freeze nights…. And full sun during the days. But look!!!!😭. Is it lost? Or will she make a comeback in the spring???

Can I use few drops of peppermint oil or tea tree oil in the water to water my succulents to prevent any fungus gnats or bugs???

Gsue62

Yay! I just received my box of five new babies…..$20 worth and afraid to even try to put them outside …mid 50’s amd clear/cold weather. My others are outside, and have been for months - have turned brown and I think are dying!! I have covered them with heavy towels the nights that went below freezing- and they have direct sun most of the day!

So I brought most of my cactus and succulents in for the winter. Honestly thinking I may just keep some of them in because they’re doing so well inside! But then I turned my horse crippler and see these white spots 😭 Too much water now?

What kind of succulent is this? They’re big! My mom gave them to me from her garden but she doesn’t know what they’re called and the AI gave up a lot of options.
