This is my moms plant and it is not doing very well at all…. I was just wondering what I could do to help it? It was just re-potted last week and the soil isn’t very wet. When I scanned it on the app it said that it was in a too dark spot and over watered. Some of the leaves have fallen off so I was wondering if I could put them in water and try to grow them like that and if so how do I do that? I was trying to not have to re-pot it since it was recently done and isn’t really wet. The plant attached is what it used to look like….. Please help!! Thanks in advance!

I have had a tough time with Parodia leninghausii’s light needs. They crisp for me in even a few hours of direct sun. Even bright grow lights bronze it’s bottom. I spent time moving things around the space so another plant gave it some shade - in order to create some kind of fake natural environment. I gave up because I assumed I had stunted its growth.
Guess what? I put it in a south-facing window that gets bright light or direct sun and had (relatively) exponential growth in a week. That was always the answer ha.

Everyone was bone dry. I double checked with my moisture meter. So watered all my succulents carefully. I don’t really have the best light for these babies so they sit on my bedroom floor right next to the window every day and I put them back on a little table when the sun goes down.

Sorry for the photo dump today. Watering all the plants before vacation.

Couple of my favorite succulents at the moment. Huernia Zebrina (Lifesaver plant) and Echeveria blue bird.

My jade and my trailing jade. You can see there is a huge difference. My jade plant gets heavy and hangs down, but usually some sun perks her up. My goal in life is to grow my jade plant huge, and this one is about 10 years old. Patience!

What’s a good recommended fertilizer/ratio for succulents and cacti? Better yet, tell me your favorite go-to! I’ve seen so many mixed reviews and suggestions.

So I’ve grown some succulents from seed—more by luck than anything else. The cactus and lythops seeds I planted at the same time refused to come out. I followed the instructions carefully, but I think perhaps I shouldn’t have covered them because they grew mold even though I wiped away the condensation on the plant domes. Does anyone have any insights? Thanks ahead of time! 🙏🏼

There is some sort of new growth on my not-classified possible echeveria. Is it going to be a new plant that I can propagate, or some sort of flower/bloom? Any insight would be greatly appreciated 🤗

Does anyone know how to fix this? My succulent is turning brown. It’s getting some shade/full sun everyday, and I’m currently doing what Planta is telling me to do.

Planta says these guys are jade plants, but their leaves don’t seem to be as round and spoon like. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks ahead of time! 🙏

I’ve always wanted this plant to fill out, but I feel like it’s been pretty stagnant for about a year. I never see new propagations from pieces that fall off either. It’s under a grow light, in well draining mix and a terracotta pot. Any tips to make it thrive??

I know I just posted but I went to the store to get some soil and I found this little guy. The plant ID is not saying anything. Can someone help me find this out?

I am going to repot this guy soon because it is a non draining pot. So he has some brown leaves but he continues to put off new growth and I love him for it!! 😝🌱🌱
Also I found out my string of pearls did this!! And I am in love with it

Last batch of “little” ones and a little progress update. The progress is also seeing that those randomly left in the window are stoked. After so much effort in faking a South-facing window at my old place - where I was one step away from a grow tent, this is pretty awesome. I even see some of the sun-loving maniacs.
It took a week to move plants, dogs, a work from home office, a music studio, so many ridiculous art projects etc. I had to stop looking at Planta because of the reminders. I put a timer on the lights, but nothing fit how I wanted. I got some perspective on letting go and letting nature take care of itself for a few days. Thanks, nature.

This moon cactus hasn’t changed in 3 years. Is this normal?

My chocolate soldier’s stem broke after a fall and I assumed it was dead but I decided to still water. And it started putting off growth at the top. I was wondering if I should cut off the top where the break is or leave it and see what happens??!
