BRUH THIS MY BRUH, BRUH. š
One big CHOLLA nugget⦠she did excellent for like a month and a half when I potted her and last week she was tipped over, distraught, rotted at the base⦠we are currently callusing over again to try this again⦠I really donāt know what went wrong cause I thought I put her in a pot wayyyy too big but in less than a month in a 6 inch diameter and 7 inch tall pot the roots were deep to the bottom and all over the place⦠it was an epically sad loss of roots⦠she better get it together. BUTTTTā¦. I did take 3 of the newly sprouted babies from her head just to show her whoās boss⦠actually she is def the boss. She wounds me every time I have to do anything with her⦠They are my little baby security deposits. š° Sheāll be just fine!!!! Sheās too much of a 𤬠to give up on maiming me this quickly!
Planta says this is an Aloe Vera. Iām wondering if anyone has any idea what else it might be? Itās not as fleshy as my actual aloe.
Apparently I can kill even just the easiest of plants š can someone please help me? Tell me what is wrong and what I can do please
How it started vs how itās going
This is my moms plant and it is not doing very well at allā¦. I was just wondering what I could do to help it? It was just re-potted last week and the soil isnāt very wet. When I scanned it on the app it said that it was in a too dark spot and over watered. Some of the leaves have fallen off so I was wondering if I could put them in water and try to grow them like that and if so how do I do that? I was trying to not have to re-pot it since it was recently done and isnāt really wet. The plant attached is what it used to look likeā¦.. Please help!! Thanks in advance!
I have had a tough time with Parodia leninghausiiās light needs. They crisp for me in even a few hours of direct sun. Even bright grow lights bronze itās bottom. I spent time moving things around the space so another plant gave it some shade - in order to create some kind of fake natural environment. I gave up because I assumed I had stunted its growth. Guess what? I put it in a south-facing window that gets bright light or direct sun and had (relatively) exponential growth in a week. That was always the answer ha.
Everyone was bone dry. I double checked with my moisture meter. So watered all my succulents carefully. I donāt really have the best light for these babies so they sit on my bedroom floor right next to the window every day and I put them back on a little table when the sun goes down.
Skull crusher is loving the new grow light :)
Sorry for the photo dump today. Watering all the plants before vacation. This little Cliff Cotyledon is one that Iām super proud ofš
Couple of my favorite succulents at the moment. Huernia Zebrina (Lifesaver plant) and Echeveria blue bird.
My jade and my trailing jade. You can see there is a huge difference. My jade plant gets heavy and hangs down, but usually some sun perks her up. My goal in life is to grow my jade plant huge, and this one is about 10 years old. Patience!
Whatās a good recommended fertilizer/ratio for succulents and cacti? Better yet, tell me your favorite go-to! Iāve seen so many mixed reviews and suggestions.
So Iāve grown some succulents from seedāmore by luck than anything else. The cactus and lythops seeds I planted at the same time refused to come out. I followed the instructions carefully, but I think perhaps I shouldnāt have covered them because they grew mold even though I wiped away the condensation on the plant domes. Does anyone have any insights? Thanks ahead of time! šš¼
There is some sort of new growth on my not-classified possible echeveria. Is it going to be a new plant that I can propagate, or some sort of flower/bloom? Any insight would be greatly appreciated š¤
Does anyone know how to fix this? My succulent is turning brown. Itās getting some shade/full sun everyday, and Iām currently doing what Planta is telling me to do.
Planta says these guys are jade plants, but their leaves donāt seem to be as round and spoon like. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks ahead of time! š
